ABSTRACT: Recommended treatments for neuropathic pain include topical, local, systemic molecules as well as peripheral or central neuromodulation techniques. Although oral treatments remain most used, local treatments and neurostimulation deserve to be considered as they may have some advantage either in terms of adverse effects for local treatments or rTMS, or in terms of efficacy for refractory patients regarding invasive techniques.
